What to Shop: Straight Leg Jeans

Straight leg jeans are coming in hot as we slide out of summer and into prepping for fall looks. I don’t know how long it will be hot, LA we have a bit of time left I’m sure, but it’s never too early to get a head start on getting your fall wardrobe together. I haven’t actually worn a pair of straight leg jeans in a minute, I tend to gravitate toward skinny or extra skinny jeans.

That all changed when I snagged a pair of high waist jeans. I’ve worn styles from Abercrombie and from Old Navy and they happened to also be straight leg jeans. I like how they fit, I feel like it’s a dressed up look for denim compared to my skinny jeans though they don’t look bad. I’m almost to the end of my pregnancy and currently own a few pair and I’m always revamping my closet. The one thing I will say about the pants that I purchased (I’m a size 4), They have some stretch to them. I had one pair of maternity jeans while pregnant and recently purchased new jeans linked above in my true size of 4, definitely looking forward to slipping into them after baby.

I don’t know when I stopped wearing blue jeans and opted for only black and white, but lately I’ve been gravitating back toward my staple colors so that means less blue wash styles. Each them have their own unique wash and distress or lack thereof, a good variety to choose from.

Will I give up my skinny jeans, no not forever, but I definitely am loving the vibe of straight leg jeans, specifically high waist ones. I love how they look paired with a high heel and an espadrille, which I’m also super into right now. Are you prepping for your cozy fall looks or are you still enjoying the rest of summer?
