Do you have a body care routine? I know a lot of us, myself included have skincare routines, but how many of us are treating our bodies with the same care as our faces? My skincare routine is elaborate and detailed and since I started using Necessaire, I have to say that my body care routine has become just as elaborate.

Necessaire is a brand that focuses on personal care; they have body wash, lotions, body serums, deodorant and even products for the bedroom. I’ve been using Necessaire since September 2020 and I easily became obsessed. My shower time is my quiet time, it’s not even like my house is super noisy or anything, but it’s just my me time and that time has been elevated since I started using their products. I wanted to share my new 5 step body routine because it’s my first time having one and honestly I’m loving it. I deserve to put good clean products on my body and it deserves to be an experience. That’s my mindset and how I’m living these days. That said lets get into my 5 step body care routine.
My 5 Step Body Care Routine
Step 1: Necessaire Body Exfoliator
My body care routine has to include a scrub or exfoliant. It’s mandatory. This is a weekly (or how often you want) multi-exfoliation treatment that is good for skin health. It keeps your skin plump and smooth and it’s so good to use. It has volcanic pumice in it and pumice when broken down is still so solid, but also gentle. I like to use this first on the days I use it and then follow up with the body wash. This, in my opinion, is the most crucial step.
Exfoliation is so key in my body care routine, when I’ve had bad day, when there is just a ton of bull stuff going on, I love to exfoliate. I feel like I’m scrubbing all of the negativity away. There is an fragrance free option, but nothing gives you spa vibes like the eucalyptus or sandalwood options. The ingredients are what really make it what it is.
- Bamboo Charcoal
- Glycolic Acid
- Lactic Acid
- Salicylic Acid
- Volcanic Pumice
If clean body care and skin health was a person it would be this exfoliant. After a good scrub, you move to the body wash.
Step 2: Necessaire Body Wash
The body wash is a staple in my body care routine and it has lasted me so long! If you use scrub gloves, which in my opinion also lather better, you don’t have to use a lot. It is early January and I’m still trying to use the last of my first body wash. Body care should be a time where you romance yourself; you deserve a good shower routine and or bath experience.
All of the products come with a fragrance free option, but similar to the exfoliant, it’s so nice to have your shower steam up with the fresh smell of eucalyptus. It’s calming, it’s soothing, makes being at home not so bad.
- Vitamin B³
- Vitamin C
- Vitamin E
Step 3: Necessaire Body Serum
This is the latest addition to my body care routine and while I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, it is such a good step to have. The body serum is a fragrance free, hyaluronic acid, daily hydration treatment for your skin after you shower. It’s super easy to apply, it’s a gel texture similar to your favorite hyaluronic moisturizer for your face. A couple of pumps and it melts into your skin. It does feel a little sticky after each application, but it’s not uncomfortable and it’s not a deal breaker for me.
- Hyaluronic Acid
- Vitamin B3
- Vitamin B5
- Ceramide NP
It’s been so important for me these days to actually pay attention to all that’s in my skincare and body care. Less is more for me. I should have started years ago, not that I had a horrible routine or anything, but it really makes a difference and when I think about housing and growing children and even what I’ll put on their skin, it’s nice to know there is a brand I can really trust to make clean products.
One more point on the sticky situation, if you follow up with lotion right after, the sticky feeling from using hyaluronic acid goes away immediately.
Step 4: Necessaire Body Lotion
The lotion and body serum only come in fragrance free scents, but it’s perfect that way. If you love your body care, but also love your perfumes then this is the perfect lotion for you. It’s a hydrating multi vitamin lotion that lasts all day especially in these winter months. It is thick and good for all skin types.
- Vitamin B³
- Vitamin C
- Vitamin E
I really can’t think of any lotions or products I’ve used in my body care routine that has had this much goodness. All of these things matter to me and when I think of my overall wellness and well being, it’s my responsibility to choose things that benefit me and my health and or at the very least don’t do the opposite of that.
Step 5: Necessaire Deodorant
What’s a body care routine without a natural deodorant? The serum and deodorant are the newest additions to my collection. Similar to my sentiments above, there are things I can control and figuring out a natural deodorant really had to be one them. I’ve tried my fair share of natural deodorants and they all left me disappointed. I felt forced to go back to products that potentially had aluminum in them, but at the end of the year I committed to trying again and that’s how we ended up here. The deodorant comes fragrance free and or in the scents of the body washes.
It’s been a week since I started using it and I really enjoy it for several reasons. The main being, I don’t smell like a child after a full day, the other one being how it feels when it goes on and the scent of eucalyptus is calming. I’m super proud of my body care routine and I’m glad that I decided to make that experience a priority in my life. These are the moments of luxury I find in doing every day things.
- Lactic Acid
- Mandelic Acid
Necessaire is truly such a dope brand and I’m not just saying that as an Ambassador.
