5 Ways to Create Your Dream Lifestyle

Don’t you want to create your dream lifestyle? Don’t you want to be able to live life a certain way? A way that you feel you are deserving of, respectfully? A lot of us want to live the dream lifestyle, but we don’t realize who we need to be in order to maintain and sustain it. I don’t know everything and I’m not living my pinnacle dream lifestyle just yet, but the things that have shown up for me as a result of God, as well as a result of who I became in order to receive said things have played a very important role in the beginning of that creation.

As you begin to experience more and be exposed to more, you’ll begin to realize that the ability to create your dream lifestyle isn’t as far off as it seems. God  has the final say so, but there is a posture that we have the responsibility to hold. The one thing that is more important than the end goal and the dream lifestyle itself is the mindset and clarity surrounding what it is you want. You have to believe that you will receive; you have to believe that you are worthy of living and experiencing life in a certain way and that the vision that you are getting glimpses of, is real. If you can desire it, it exists. Lets get into 5 ways to create your dream lifestyle.

5 Ways to Create Your Dream Lifestyle

Create A Clear Vision to Create Your Dream Lifestyle

Your dream lifestyle most likely includes success. It includes accomplishing something grand that you deem to be your big goal. Often times all we see is the end goal and not the overall experience of the lifestyle; usually that is because we don’t have a clear vision of what we want beyond the end goal. After a year like 2020, I feel like people gained a lot of clarity on the type of life they didn’t want to have and that is just as powerful and important when it comes to creating a clear vision on the lifestyle you desire to have.

What do YOU want to experience in 1 year, 5 years, 10 years from now? Not what you think you should be experiencing; not what you think others want you to experience, but truly what you want to experience later in life. Are you living abroad with your husband and children for 6 months out of the year, working remotely as you travel and world school your kids? Are you the CEO of an agency that helps influencers? A successful blogger? Make it a point to be clear about what you want out of this life. Don’t be scared; I don’t know about you,  but I serve a BIG God and I’m constantly reminded, from Him and others that I can have a big, unreasonable vision. This section and the next section really could be interchangeable as far as, what step goes first, but they both feed off of each other.

The reason why it’s key to get clear on your vision first is because, your mindset may not be there yet, but at least you have the vision. The how, the anxiety of where you’ll get the money and any other hang up that may arise, once you have a vision, it’s hard to forget what you’ve seen. That image will remain imprinted in your mind. Then you can begin the process of going from vision to mindset in order to begin living your dream lifestyle.

Start to Shift Your Mindset

Create your dream lifestyle and start to see it manifest by shifting your mindset. I know a lot of people say things like this, but this is where the work comes in. Are you able to notice your negative thoughts? The critical things that come up? If you notice them, you’re in a good position to be able to change them. Change doesn’t happen overnight, but the constant practice of rejecting thoughts that are opposite of what you’re believing for, will eventually become easier.

Your mindset is going to the play the biggest role in all of this.  A lot of us are good at dreaming and good at visualizing, but believing that we should can experience certain things doesn’t always co-exist in the same space.

“If you have made up your mind that you intend to enjoy the best life God has for you, then you must realize that the change you’re waiting for begins in you. You must believe what God’s Word says about you more than you believe what others say or what your feelings or own mind say. Your circumstances aren’t your problem because they wont last – but until you change your thinking, no matter what’s going on in your life, you’ll be stuck” – Joyce Meyer*

Shifting your mindset is going to require you to live and operate differently. There is a heightened sense of awareness that is required and that same awareness will carry over as you are preparing and being prepared for your dream lifestyle. Learn to be okay with saying things out loud that may seem unobtainable to others. It feels weird and uncomfortable, but speak life, speak your dream lifestyle into existence.

Self Discovery Questions are great ways to address areas where negatives thoughts or habits are more prominent than others.

Spend Time Visualizing and Creating Your Dream Day

Now visualizing your dream life is one thing that can sound and feel big and scary. Visualizing your dream day from morning to evening; what would your dream day look like? Without a pandemic, without any of the circumstances you are currently experiencing, what would your dream consist of if you could snap your fingers?

You know what’s constantly been a part my dream day description? Working from home. I have included that as well as made it very clear in my dream day visualizations that I’m working from home in my office. The office isn’t quite a thing yet and I didn’t think working from home would come by way of a Pandemic, but honestly it has been a huge piece of freedom for me to be able to work at home. You can create your dream lifestyle. May be something small for the next person, but for me it’s not going unnoticed. I wrote down things like a community of wives, solid relationships and friendships that grow as my life changes and grows and certainly it’s not a coincidence that I have that exact thing. Timing is everything, but there are pieces of my visualization, my dream lifestyle, that have already shown up and that is a blessing.

Piece by piece you can build out the very foundation that will ultimately be the lifestyle you want. God still has the final say so, but it’s still up to you to believe and desire big.

5 Ways to Create Your Dream Lifestyle

Choose your actions and experiences wisely

The action you choose to take is just as important as the rest; choosing your actions and experiences wisely will help you create your dream lifestyle. Now we’re talking about things we have control over specifically, the things you get to have a direct say so in.

The work is hard, the vision is big and I don’t even have it all figured out, sometimes the dream lifestyle itself can feel scary especially when you pair it up to your current lifestyle; at the end of the day the only thing you can do is take intentional action. Take intentional action daily. There is no way to get around the work. I have to remind myself of this. If I say I want to be a full time blogger, I need to be putting in full time blogger action.

Likewise, whatever your craft is, you should be putting in the type of action that is required for you to achieve and get ahead in your craft. Faith without works is dead. Your actions matter. If you desire to be married, get around some married folk. If you want to find community, start connecting with people beyond your circle. Your actions matter more than you know.

Practice Believing Without Explanation

“He didn’t ask you to understand it, He just told you to believe it” – Apostle Frederick K.C. Price

It’s not that we can’t live out our dream lifestyle, we don’t believe we can. We don’t believe we’re worthy; our current circumstances say otherwise. As a believer, one thing that was very evident, especially as it relates to faith is being able to believe without having an explanation. God already has thoughts that are beyond my own understanding, so sometimes I wonder why I fight so hard to understand.

Understanding is for the physical. It gives meaning to and helps us process, but when it comes to God, He simply wants us to believe. Released yourself of the need to always know the what and the how as it pertains to your dream lifestyle. It doesn’t mean that you don’t make a plan, but practice believing without any add ons. This is huge for me. If I trust God then I need to trust Him fully; without putting the expectations of man onto him. Looking for an answer, when whatever the answer it, it will be good.
